Ray and I competed in the Porsche Club Autocross on Sunday at the Robert Plan building in Bethpage. We had torrential rain until around 11AM but the sun eventually rose and we had a great time the rest of the day. We were all given a generous 7 runs. The LIME motorsport support team of Tom & Ethan Abbe, Joe Manning & Vinne Rosalez also joined us for support. I was experiencing engine sputering & burping under severe turning and braking and couldn't figure it out. Presto! enter the LIME Motorsport wizards. Joe Manning suggested we check the Inertia Switch located on injected engines to stop fuel flow in the event of a crash: Tom Abbe then stepped up to the plate wedged a tissue into the switch to disable it. The car never burped again!
Unfortunately for Ray and good for me, Ray had to leave early which gave me the opportunity to sweep our class with a first place win! Oh yea, we were the only two guys in our X1 class!
